According to the National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center, rainfall in the northern central and northern provinces will be average from 30-70mm.

Luu Minh Hai, deputy director of the Hydro Meteorological Center in Lao Cai Province said that over the last few days heavy rainfall had occurred in the northern mountainous areas.

Just one more downpour might cause a landslide in the risk prone areas of Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Son La, Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces. He has issued a warning to people in the affected areas to move to safer zones.

Until yesterday, several parts of the northern region continued to be lashed by heavy rains.
