A cold front that began Monday evening has gradually weakened, looking to bring higher temperatures to the north, the national weather bureau said March 10.
The cold front has now moved to central and southern parts of the central region and the Central Highlands, according to the National Hydro Meteorological Forecast Center.
Today, the cold spell looks to keep these regions cool before starting to weaken on Saturday.
By the weekend, a hot low-pressure zone from the west will set in, sending temperatures higher throughout the country.
In Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces, temperatures will remain high at around 34-35 degrees Celsius.
