Japan-Vietnam Festival 2016 to open in November

Japan-Vietnam Festival 2016 will be held at the 23rd September Park in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1 on November 18-20.

Japan-Vietnam Festival 2016 will be held at the 23rd September Park in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1 on November 18-20.

At a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Le Thanh Liem on October 27 in HCM City, Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance Tsutomu Takebe, head of the organizational board of the Japan-Vietnam Festival 2016 said that this year’s event will be two times bigger than last year with 140 Japanese display booths and more than 2,000 artists and participants from Japan.

The event will include cultural exchanges, traditional performances, trade promotion activities, and agricultural workshops.

The annual Japan-Vietnam Festival was first held in 2013. The event drew around 220,000 people last year.
