The head of the Party committee of Ho Chi Minh City presented gift to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Cach in Pham Ngu Lao ward whose husband and children bravely sacrificed themselves for the national liberation and unification in Ho Chi Minh City.
He also visited wounded soldier Tran Phu Cuong in Nguyen Thai Binh ward; and military veteran Dinh Cong Dac in Da Kao ward who was exposed to toxic chemicals during his service and has four children suffered the effects of these chemical poison.
The Secretary of the municipal Party Committee expressed deep gratitude to the heroic mother and wounded soldiers for their great contribution and sacrifice towards the cause of national liberation and reconstruction.
On July 24, Chairman of the People’s Committee of HCMC Nguyen Thanh Phong also led another delegation of city’s officials paid a visit to policy beneficiaries and families of wounded soldiers in the city
The delegartion visited and presented gifts to war veterans and national contributors in Thi Nghe nursing home in Binh Thanh district; Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Giang in Binh Thanh district whose laid down their lives in the struggle for national liberation and defence; and wounded soldiers of Dao Trong Trinh and Le Van Cuc and martyr Ngo Minh Hong’s father, Ngo Van Nhan.
On the same day, Head of the municipal Party Committee's Organization Board, Nguyen Ho Hai visited Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, including Nguyen Thi Ty and Tran Thi Phieu; and women soldiers who have been wounded in the war, Pham Thi Le Tam and Le Thi Tam in Phu Nhuan district.
According to director of the HCMC Departments of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. Le Minh Tan, the city will spend about VND80 billion to present gifts to more than 70,000 policy beneficiaries and families of wounded soldiers on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27).
