Cyclone to hit Central highlands and southern region

The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center issued a weather warning of cyclone, hail and powerful wind in the Central Highlands and Southern region.

Because of an influence of low pressure trough, the rainfall in the east-northern province sharply reduced; medium- heavy rains in combination with thunderstorm are expected in provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien- Hue with highest rainfall of 20- 50 mm, even in some places over 80 mm since the mid night. 
A small flooding is being forecast in upstream of Thao, Lo, Cau, Thuong, Luc Nam, Ma, Ca, La, Gianh and Kien Giang River today or tomorrow. The flood water could raise 1-3 meters.   
Heavy rain could cause landslide in the East- northern and north- central region; particular in Bac Can, Tuyen Quang, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An. 
At present, showery weather and thunderstorm cover the territorial waters from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, from Ca Mau to Kien Giang and Gulf of Thailand. 
Within next 24 hours rain, thunderstorm, cyclone and strong wind will continue hitting the areas.
