The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on May 6 asked Thu Thiem New Urban Area Investment and Construction Management Board to speed up completion of main infrastructure works in District 2.
They have been asked to give priority to completing four main roads in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area to lure future investments for trade projects.
They have also been instructed to plan projects along the banks of the Saigon River. These projects include a south eco-forest park, an observatory tower, a central square and a riverside park.
The above projects will be built in the vicinity of a housing area and office complex along the East West Highway.
Relevant organs should step up advertisement and investment promotion activities with preferential policies to lure international investors, with good financial holdings for more development works in Thu Thiem New Urban Area.
