Central region suffers rainy weather

The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center has just issued a warning of medium- heavy downpours in the Central provinces from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai from November 27 on its website.

The rainy weather condition was due to an impact of the continental cold high pressure in combination with an operation of the upper- east wintry spell.  Medium- heavy rainfalls are expected to last until this weekend.

Meanwhile, the high tide in Ho Chi Minh City and Southern coastal provinces are expected to peak on November 27- 28.  Water levels on Mekong River and Sai Gon River will reach alert level 1 or 2, even at alarm level 3 at Phu An Station.

Low- lying areas along riverbanks suffer a high risk of flooding in the next couple days.
