The movie “Hello, stranger,” featuring Vietnamese actor Quang Su in a lead role, is on screens throughout South Korea.

The film, directed by the Korean Kim Dong-Hyun, tells the story about a young North Korean Jin-wook who leaves his country to find a job in South Korea.
Later, he meets Ting Yoon, an illegal immigrant from Vietnam on his way to Pusan to see his ex-girlfriend. Though Ting Yoon cannot speak Korean fluently, both Jin-wook and Ting Yoon can still understand and sympathize with each other’s life.
The movie aims to peel back South Korea’s public and private views and actions about immigrants.
"Hello, Stranger," produced in 2007, received the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) Award at the 2007 Pusan International Film Festival.
The film also features the acting styles of Park In-soo, Choi Hee-jin, Bang Yeong and Joo Jin-mo I.
Quang Su is a former student at the Korea National University of Arts, and won his role when in his final-year.
This is his first lead role after a supporting role on KBS TV’s series “The Wind.”
