At 10 a.m. this morning, the eye of the storm was at 140 kilometers northeast of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) Islands with the wind power reaching level 8 moving 60-75 kilometers an hour.
In the next 24 hours, the typhoon will move west southwest at 10-15 kilometers an hour to locate northwest of the Hoang Sa Islands and weaken into a tropical low pressure system and low pressure zone.
By 10 a.m. on November 13, the zone will be 180 kilometers west northwest of the islands. Wind power will reduce to level 6 traveling below 40 kilometers an hour.
Under the typhoon’s influence, the northern part of the East Sea has been rough and choppy.
