Typhoon Nuri fuels Southwest monsoon

The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center reported that the first storm hitting the East Sea named Nuri this early morning approached around 130 kilometers from seashore of the southeastwards of Guangdong Province (China) with a maximum wind of level 8-11 near the center.

New tropical depression forms in East Sea

Pursuant to the latest weather news from the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center, a newly-formed tropical low pressure system was located at around 560 kilometers from the Paracel Islands with its sustained winds of 40- 50 kilometers an hour in Wednesday early morning.

Typhoon forecast not to affect Tet holidays in Vietnam

Typhoon Sanba has taken shape east of the Philippines, forecast to enter the northern part of the Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands on February 15 to become the second storm in the East Sea this year. However it is forecast to weaken at sea and not to affect Tet celebration in the mainland of Vietnam.

East Sea sees first storm of 2018

A tropical low pressure system brewed south off the Philippines has moved into the East Sea and intensified into Bolaven storm, the first one in the area this year, according to the National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center (nchmf).
