Trinh Thu Vinh competed in the women’s 10m air pistol final against opponents from Malaysia, Chinese Taipei, Kazakhstan, South Korea, and Japan on the morning of February 13 in Thailand. She maintained a strong performance in the early rounds, securing a spot in the elimination stage.
However, after the seventh round, she was eliminated, finishing with 215.9 points to claim the bronze medal. The gold went to Malaysia's Nurul with 239.3 points, while Cheng Yen-Ching of Chinese Taipei took silver with 234.3 points. This was Vinh’s second medal at the tournament, following her gold in the mixed team event with Pham Quang Huy.
Later in the men’s 10m air pistol final, Pham Quang Huy faced competitors from North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Chinese Taipei, Japan, and Kazakhstan. He finished third with 216.9 points, securing another bronze for Vietnam. The gold medal was won by North Korea’s Rim Ryu Song with a score of 239.9.

Pham Quang Huy reflected on his performance, "This is my first international competition, so my coaches and I were determined to get the best result. I focused on technical adjustments and maintaining full concentration."
Trinh Thu Vinh added, "I was determined to perform well in this tournament. Every medal is the result of my efforts and the preparation from my coaches."
The Asian Rifle/Pistol Cup 2025 continues until February 22 with more events to come.
