On the morning of February 12, Vietnamese shooters continued to compete in various events at the 2025 Asian Rifle/Pistol Cup, held at the SAT Shooting Ranges in Bangkok, Thailand.
As for the 10m air pistol mixed team category, Vietnam's Team 1 including Trinh Thu Vinh and Pham Quang Huy participated in the final against their rivals from Indonesia 1, Darmoyo Arista Perdana Putri and Prabowa Muhamad Iqbal Raia.
After shots, Vietnam’s Team 1 defeated their rivals with a score of 17-14, resulting in earning the gold medal. This is the first gold medal of Vietnam shooting for 2025.
Last year, Trinh Thu Vinh and Pham Quang Huy also qualified for 10m air pistol mixed team category final of the 2024 Asian Rifle/Pistol Cup in Indonesia. As a result, they defeated Indian rivals, securing a gold medal.
A representative of the Vietnamese national shooting team shared that this is a smooth start for Vietnamese shooters at the 2025 Asian Cup. It is expected that they will continue to achieve good results in the upcoming events.
On the afternoon of February 12, Vietnamese shooters will compete in the qualifying rounds for the men's and women's 10m air pistol events. Both Trinh Thu Vinh and Pham Quang Huy will participate in these events.
