According to Mr. Luu Minh Hai, Director of Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center of Lao Cai province, temperature in the area dropped rapidly.
In particular, the lowest temperature in Pho Rang Town (Bao Yen), Lao Cai city and Ba Ha was respectively measured at 9.9, 11 and 4.7 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature in Sa Pa dropped down 1.3 degrees Celsius.

Because of its impact, the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai is estimated to experience small rains, long- lasting damaging cold, snowfall and frost.
