Ho Chi Minh City’s famous vegetarian buffet, Van Canh Restaurant, has been moved to Metropole Wedding & Convention Center on 216 Ly Chinh Thang, District 3 to highlight the seasonal variety of dishes called “Saigon With Vegetarian Dishes”.
The restaurant has been open for over 10 years and is especially busy during Lunar New Year and Le Vu Lan in July (lunar month).
“This year, we have designed a special vegetarian buffet that highlights spring flavors such as ngu phuc vao nha (five luckies into your home), dau hu huong xuan (spring tofu), com chien ngu sac (five color fried rice), sen xao truong tho (long-lasting fried lotus),” said restaurant manager Tran Van Van.
The staff hopes to attract local and foreign customers, added Mr Van.
Buffet coupons are sold at Metropole for VND220,000 per adult and VND100,000 per child under five years old. If a person buys 10 coupons, they will receive an additional coupon at no cost.
The special menu is open 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. everyday and will end on March 1.
