Nguyen Hue flower street opens in downtown HCMC

The opening ceremony of Nguyen Hue flower street was held in HCMC last night, February 13 and will keep opening until February 19 or the fourth day of the Lunar New Year.

Stating at the event, deputy chairwoman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thu said that after 15 years of organization, the flower street has become an indispensible spriritrual food of HCMC residents and visitors every Tet holiday and spring.
The 720 meter long street showcases hundreds of domestic and some world flower varieties, showing the city’s aspiration of rising, she added.
Thousands of residents, domestic and foreign visitors lined up and waited to visit the flower street.
The ceremony was attended by National Assembly chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, former President Truong Tan Sang, standing deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, HCMC Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan, vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, former vice President Truong My Hoa, HCMC People’s Committee chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong and HCMC People’s Council chairwoman Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam and others.
