Miss Viet Nam Germany to Return Home for 2007 Global Vietnamese Pageant

Le Thi Thanh Hoa from Leipzig won the highest honor of a beauty pageant attracting about 40 young Vietnamese women in Germany and Central Europe, held in Berlin last week.

Miss Viet Nam Germany and Central Europe 2007 is a dentist by day. She is very fond of traveling, sport and fashion. The 1.67m, 50kg 22-year-old also won the prize for best behavior.

“The Vietnamese community abroad are expressive toward their home country. They are always proud of the land, people, history, past struggles for independence, and the achievements of their home,” Hoa said.

The first runner-up was Nguyen Kang Wun Ching, 18, a student in Muenchen and winner of the “Best Look” prize. Cu Ngoc Ha, 21, a student in Hamburg, won second place.

These beauties and Nguyen Thi Huong Giang, the only Vietnamese representative from the Czech Republic, will travel to Viet Nam for the 2007 Global Vietnamese Pageant.

The Germany and Central Europe 2007 beauty contest was co-organized by the Vietnamese embassy in Germany, the Association of Vietnamese People in Berlin-Brandenburg, Vietnamese House Joint Stock Company (Viethaus AG), among others, and was part of a regional competition for the 2007 Global Vietnamese Pageant taking place at the Vinpearl Resort in Khanh Hoa Province’s Nha Trang this September.
