An earthquake of magnitude 4 on the Richter scale happens on October 25 morning with the quake's depth of 12 kilometers in the areas of Quang Tung and Quang Tien communes in Quang Trach District. |
According to the People’s Committee of Quang Trach District, the Institute of Geophysics under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology recorded an earthquake of magnitude 4 on the Richter scale which occurred at 6:55 a.m. on October 25 with the quake's depth of 12 kilometers in the areas of Quang Tung and Quang Tien communes in Quang Trach District.
Secretary of the Party Committee of Quang Trach District Nguyen Xuan Dat said that with its epicenter of 12 kilometers above the ground, the earthquake did not cause any damage to life and property.
The daily life of people returns to normal.
Three years ago, in 2020, the Institute of Geophysics recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter scale in Quang Trach District in the early hours of April 40 at a depth of 8.4 kilometers.
The earthquake was located at 17.79 north latitude and 106.40 east longitude in front of the headquarters of Quang Trach District's new administrative center.
