The seventh International Travel Expo 2011 will be held on September 14-17 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in District 7 with participation of the tourism ministries of Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Vietnam.

The event will feature a joint exhibition, a buyer, seller meeting and conferences, as stated by the HCMC Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism at a press conference on June 6.
The travel expo will focus on promoting world heritage sites, common tourist potentials, health and youth tourism, as well as the beaches and islands of the four countries under the theme “Four Countries One Destination”.
The expo is expected to attract around 180 representatives from tourist agencies of USA, Canada, England, France, Germany, Russia, Australia, Japan and Korea and 15 media representatives from abroad.
During the travel expo in 2007, the tourism ministers of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia had signed a joint declaration for tourism cooperation to make the three countries a common destination for international tourists. Since that year, the annual travel expo has maintained the theme “Three Countries One Destination”.
Last year, Vietnam invited Myanmar to join the event and since, the four countries’ tourism leaders have agreed to join hands in sharing information and experience in tourism planning, product development and tourism investment promotion. The four countries also agreed to work together in international tourism events.
The annual travel expo is a national tourism event in Vietnam since it was first held in 2005.
