Hot weather increases power consumption

Hot and dry weather over the last one week has considerably raised power consumption in Ho Chi Minh City, according to the HCMC Power Corporation.

Accordingly, the average consumption per day in the month of February was 46.3 million kWh.

This average rocketed to 49.7 million per day, in the beginning of March. On March 5 alone, the figure reached 49.98 million kWh.

According to experts, power consumption might continue to surge, mainly in daily life activities of residents. Hence, people must save usage of electricity to minimize expensive and conserve production in the city.
