Heavy rain experiences in Hanoi

A heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorm and cyclone was likely to occur in Hanoi in the evening yesterday, one person killed, and 200 trees, billboards and houses destroyed.

The rainfall reached at100 mm and uprooted trees along Lang Ha, Le Van Luong, Giang Vo, Huynh Thuc  Khang and Hoang Dao Thuy street. Moreover, hundred of billboards and posters were also blown by strong winds.

Electricity systems in the residential areas of Trung Hoa- Nhan Chinh, Thanh Xuan, Thuong Dinh, Hoang Mai, Tay Ho, Ba Dinh and Hoang Kiem were cut down because of prolonged heavy rain.

On the same day, a 3- 5 minute hail experienced in Hanoi’s Ba Vi and Thach Nhat district.

The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center reported that the area of Northern provinces will see heavy rains accompanied by strong winds and hail at night in the upcoming days because of the effect of interstitial pressure.

Meanwhile, 34- 37 degrees Celsius hot weather will shoulder over the area of Hong River Delta, the northwestern and Northern provinces from June 16 to 21.

Because of the influence of the interstitial pressure from northern region, the highest temperature in the central region is forecast to reach at 35- 38 degrees Celsius.

The highest daily temperature in the northern mountain provinces maintains at 39- 40 degrees Celsius.

In Ho Chi Minh City and the southern region, the weather situation has maintained hot at daytime and rain at night. The highest temperature in the areas will be at 31- 34 degrees Celsius in next ten days.
The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center announced that Gulf of Tonkin  saw strong wind speed of level 6- 8, sea rough and 1, 25- 2, 5 big waves due to the effect of the western pressure zone.

Both Spratly Island and the southern territorial waters from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, Kien Giang and Gulf of Thailand will experience showery weather, cyclone and strong winds.
