HCoM presents “Ringing Strings” concert

The “Ringing Strings” concert featuring Vietnamese and international artists will be organized at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music (HCoM) on May 30.

The event will present to music lovers masterpieces of composers, W.A. Mozart, J. Brahms, Ernő Dohnányi, Richard Strauss, Franz Schubert that will be performed viola player Pham Vu Thien Bao, pianist Tran Ngoc Nguyen Trinh, and American artists Stefanie Weagner and Rudolph Kremer.

Rudolph Kremer got a Master’s Degree from Western Illinois University. He was the first violinist of the Fidelio String Quartet in Lisbon, Portugal while teaching at that city’s National Superior. He plays with the Chicago Symphony, the Minnesota Orchestra and international professional orchestras such as the San Francisco Opera, Florida orchestra, International Orchestra of Italy, and the Malaysian Philharmonic.

Stefanie is a member of the faculty of the Franconian Chamber Music Academy in Germany and the Centre for Music Education and Outreach in Vienna. From October 2011 she is part of the faculty of the Chamber Music Academy (CMA) at Mahidol University in Thailand. She has performed extensively as principal cellist and soloist with numerous chamber orchestras, such as Ensemble Klanglust, the Bamberg University Chamber Orchestra, the Graz Baroque Orchestra and the Salonorchestra Graz. She has founded various professional ensembles, performing in the USA, UK, Taiwan, Italy, Austria, Germany and Spain, and won prizes at international chamber music competitions in Greece and Austria.
