HCMC’s annual concert raises over VND45.9 billion for the poor

An annual concert raising fund for the poor was organized at the Ho Chi Minh City Television Theater on October 24.

The art program called “Thanh pho nghia tinh –Ket noi yeu thuong” (City with sentimental attachment – Love connection) was co-organized by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and HCM City Television (HTV).
More than VND45.9 billion (US$1.98 million) was raised from sponosrs, organizations, individuals, enterprises in the city to build charity houses, repair houses for the poor, grant scholarships, hand over means of transport to students, offer medical insurance cards and provide capital for businesses.
