The funds’ increase is due to investments in buying new buses and increasing bus passengers to 295 million. Currently, HCMC has 142 bus routes comprising 107 subsidized and 35 non subsidized routes.

In addition, there are 45 worker transport routes under subsidized contracts and 155 schools have buses to transport students under the same form of contracts.
