At the reception, Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong stressed that 2017 was considered as a meaningful year with practical activities marking the 55th anniversary of establishment of Vietnam- Laos diplomatic ties.
This year, both sides will also continue kicking off meaningful events and activities in order to strengthen the neighboring relationship.
Ho Chi Minh City pledged to carry out cooperation agreements with Laotian localities to deepen the traditional friendship ties, affirmed the city leader.
