HCMC asks for Government permission to implement 36 anti-flooding projects

The HCMC People’s Committee has proposed the Ministry of Planning and Investment to submit the investment policy of 36 anti-flooding projects in the city to the Prime Minister with the total funds of VND9,936 billion (US$439 million).

The funds will be raised from State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC), according to the proposal.
  
Besides the above projects the city needs VND73,057 billion ($3.21 billion) to implement a slew of other projects under the flooding mitigation program, said the committee.
