As part of the Vietnam Potential Leaders Program 2.0 in Singapore, a Ho Chi Minh City delegation led by Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, paid a courtesy visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore on the afternoon of June 24.
During the visit, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong expressed sincere appreciation to the embassy for its continued support and for creating favorable conditions for the Ho Chi Minh City delegation to carry out its study and research program in Singapore effectively.
She said the Vietnam Potential Leaders Program 2.0 features a range of in-depth topics, including national governance, the development of international financial centers, digital transformation, innovation, enterprise development, urban transportation and sustainable development.
These topics are of practical significance, contributing to the enhancement of leadership capacity, governance thinking and policymaking skills among the city’s officials, helping meet development requirements in the new period.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Tran Phuoc Anh also provided an overview of cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore in recent years, particularly following the elevation of bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The ambassador affirmed that the embassy would continue serving as a bridge and partner for localities, including Ho Chi Minh City, in promoting cooperation in investment, trade, education and training, science and technology, innovation, and the development of high-quality human resources.
