Khanh Hoa and Phu Yen are the most seriously affected localities by the typhoon.
By the evening, the storm weakened into a tropical low-pressure system.
At 4pm, it was centered at 12.4 degrees north latitude and 107.5 degrees east longitude in the areas of Vietnam – Cambodia border line. The strongest wind near the center gusted 50-60 kilometers per hour.
After that, the depression moved the westward at 15- 20 kilometers an hour and continued to weaken into a tropical low-pressure zone in Cambodia.
Because of its circulation, the provinces from Quang Tri to Binh Thuan, the north- central, central highlands and southeastern region will experience torrential rains.
From November 4-8, a flash flood is warned to hit river systems from Ha Tinh to Binh Thuan, the central highlands provinces and in Dong Nai River.
In addition, mountainous slide, flooding and flash flood are also predicted to happen in the provinces from Thua Thien- Hue to Khanh Hoa and the north part of the central highlands on the large scale.
Amid to the bad weather, Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air yesterday canceled more than 50 flights departing/to/from the airports at the central and central highlands region.
Today, the domestic air carriers plans for flight re-exploitation in case of good weather.
