Medium rains accompanied with north east wind of level 3- 4 covered the central provinces of Thua Thien- Hue and Quang Tri on the large scale yesterday evening.

The rains swept through in two provinces during an hour after the long- lasting extreme hot air hit nationwide for past months. It is considered as the first rains of this year’s rainy season.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thua Thien- Hue province, the rains yesterday not only helped local resident save billions dong for irrigating industrial and vegetable plants but also brought cool air for thousands of forest hectares in districts of Nam Dong, A Luoi, Huong Thuy and Huong Tra of Thua Thien- Hue province, and Vinh Linh, Dakrong of Quang Tri province which have been warned in high forest fire.
On the same day, the small- medium rains occurred in some places of Quang Ngai province.
