Extreme hot weather hits country

Ongoing hot weather has experienced on the large scale in the area of northwestern and provinces from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen with the highest daily temperature at 35- 37 degrees Celsius, even up to 37- 38 degrees Celsius in other provinces such as Nghe An, Quang Binh and Quang Tri, announced the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center.

Today, it is expected that the highest daily temperature in the northern and northwestern provinces maintains at 35- 37 degrees Celsius. According to forecast weather, the temperature will continue to increase 1 degree Celsius at 35- 38 degrees Celsius, up to 39 degrees Celsius. The hot weather is predicted to last 4- 5 upcoming days.

At present, Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces have also been influenced by the hot wave. Today, temperature in Ho Chi Minh City is predicted to reach at 27- 36 degrees Celsius.

On May 19, Ho Chi Minh City will see hot weather daytime; and despite of rain accompanied with thunderstorm at night, the hot will not decrease.
