East Sea suffers damage weather

A strong operation of cold front will hit the northern and north central provinces of Vietnam starting January 18, reported the National Hydrology Forecast Center.

By January 22, the temperature will drop sharply due to one more cold front in collaboration with the ongoing cold air.

The temperature in both Ha Noi and the northern delta region is going to reduce at 10- 11 degrees Celsius. The northern mountainous provinces of Lao Cai, Ha Giang and Lang Son will suffer frost and snow rains.

Currently, the northeast monsoon on East Sea gusts level 6- 7 which is alerted to cause damage to shipping vessels.

According to Deputy Director of Office of the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention Tang Quoc Chinh, the agency required local authorities from Quang Ninh to Binh Dinh provinces to provide relevant information to fishermen and ship- owners about the complicated weather situation.
