Three or four cold spells are forecast for north and north-central coastal provinces this month, according to the Southern Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecast.
The spells could hit in the next few days from February 4-7, the weather center added.
At least two severe cold fronts may cause northeastern monsoons of up to level 6 or more, said the weather bureau.
In the south, the weather is expected to be sunny in the coming days, though inshore regions will see rain and slightly colder temperatures in the mornings and evenings.
The south will see unseasonable rain toward the middle and end of the month, but with southern coastal regions experiencing only a few days of rain during the same period.
