The Ho Chi Minh City Centre for Forecasting Manpower Needs and Labor Market Information stated on May 31, that the city would require around 23,000 skilled laborers by June this year.
Tran Anh Tuan, deputy director of the centre, said that the recruitment need in June had dropped by 10% compared to May.
The recruitment demand in June is 63% for trained workers while the rest for university and college graduates.
Tuan said that many firms wished to recruit people as financial managers, accountants and auditors. There was also a requirement in the field of information technology, banking, finance, health care and food processing.
There is a shortage of labor force in some sectors like garments, leather, mechanics and electronics.
