District authorities and the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in Ho Chi Minh City hosted a Job Fair to help drug addicts from rehabilitation centers find stable jobs.

Authorities expect that 350 drug addicts will have a job after they return home from rehabilitation centers.
Mai Duc Q., 34, from District 10, is excited to become a baggage handler when he completes the detox course in the rehabilitation center.
He said that unemployment resulted in falling into the drug habit 20 years back. He is now eager to leave the rehabilitation center.
Pham Thi My L. from Binh Thanh District, 30, has been trained for beauty care and hopes to have a job on returning home.
Le Trong Sang, Deputy Director of Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in HCMC, said rehabilitation units just provide short training courses to people with drug problems.
The next time, the department will ask vocational schools to raise quality of courses which can help addicts to find a job easily.
The first-ever job fair was held in the southern province of Binh Phuoc.
