13 people still missing due to violent flooding in Thanh Hoa
According to the latest report from the People’s Committee of Na Meo commune, Quan Son district, Thanh Hoa province, 13 people are still missing and isolated villages after a flash flooding.
The initial information showed that a flash flood suddenly occurred in Xa Na village, inundating 20 houses and 17 people in the early morning of Saturday.
After receiving the information, border guards, local authorities and residents living in neighboring villages joined hand in rescuing and searching for missing victims. However, 13 people are reported to remain missing, with three injured.
Due to the rise of water level following the heavy rains, the rescuers have faced difficulties.
There are five isolated villages in commune of Na Meo.
