Thousands of foreign and domestic visitors have flocked to tourist destinations in the central region like Binh Thuan, Hue and Ly Son in the Reunification Day and May Day holidays.

Binh Thuan Province has received about 68,600 tourists, an increase of 13 percent over the same period last year, according to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Of these, international tourists are up 13 percent to reach 7,000. Most of them come from Russia, China, South Korea, Germany, Sweden, Australia and America.
Hon Rom-Mui Ne tourist site saw 4,000 visitors in the province’s Phan Thiet City on the morning of April 30. Prices of hotel rooms and other services increase 20 percent.
High grade hotels ran out of rooms in Thua Thien-Hue City on April 30, said the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Most visitors are domestic who have moved to the seaside instead of historical relic sites.
Ly Son Island received 1,600 tourists in Quang Ngai Province on the Reunification Day. Four vessels operated at their fullest capacity to transport passengers from Sa Ky Port to the island.
The island has 12 hotels providing 250 accommodations, five 16-seater buses and 20 motorbike taxies to serve tourists.
