Vietnamese expat workers who returned home after completing their work contract in
South Korea
will be allowed to return to their host country next year, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs announced yesterday (Nov 2).
Phan Van Minh, director of the ministry's Overseas Workers Centre said it will be the first time that Vietnamese expat workers who had returned to
Vietnam
after expiry of their work contract, are again eligible to return to work in
South Korea
.
A South Korean language test will be organized for candidates in December in
Hanoi
. Candidates will be returning to work in the fields of production and manufacturing, agriculture and breeding, construction and fisheries, said Minh.
Furthermore, the program to choose 15,000 labourers to work in
South Korea
will be launched as scheduled on December 17 and 18. As many as 400 selected candidates will have their names posted on the website www.ttldnnvietnam.gov.vn by January 2012. Currently, about 2,000 Vietnamese guest workers are eligible for the program.
This is a good opportunity for expat workers as it will reduce illegal immigration of workers after completion of work contracts in
South Korea
, Minh said.
