Of them, 103 are in the south, eight in the central region, and 12 in the north.

Deputy Minister of Health Trinh Quan Huan said 12 people contracted the disease after coming into close contact with their relatives who returned from pandemic zones.

But no swine flu-related deaths have been reported in the country yet and the condition of all the afflicted people in hospitals is stable.

As students sit for university entrance exams, the Ministry of Health advised them to follow hygienic measures like washing hands with soap, eat and drink in moderation, eat well-cooked food, and drink boiled water to protect themselves from the flu.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), as of 07:00 GMT on Monday, 116 countries had officially reported 70,893 cases of influenza A(H1N1) infection, including 311 deaths. Netherlands Antilles, Curaçao confirmed three cases: The three confirmed cases are crew members of a cruise ship. They did not leave the boat during their illness nor during the 24 hours preceding the onset of symptoms.
