The event is part of the working visit of Saint Petersburg City’s delegation in HCMC from June 27 to 30, aiming to strengthening cooperation relationship, trading promotion between the two cities.
Mr. Katanandov Sergey Leonidovich, special envoy of the governor of Saint Petersburg City expressed his pleasure about friendship relation between Vietnam and Russia through economic cooperation between the two countries, contributing in building modern Vietnam and Russia.
Mrs. Fedorova Elena Vladimirovna, Deputy Chairman of the Saint Petersburg Committee for Industrial Policy and Innovation said the visit is also chance to introduce to the two countries’ enterprises their potential for investment cooperation and preferential policies to Vietnamese enterprises in particular and foreign investors in general.
Saint Petersburg City hoped to expand investment cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises in all fields and the city would create favorable conditions to Vietnamese enterprises who are planning to seek reliable partners or develop business operation in Russia in the upcoming times, added Mrs. Fedorova Elena.
Mr. Pham Thiet Hoa, Director of HCMC Investment & Trading Promotion Center said import-export turnover between HCMC and Russia reached US$ 565.23million in 2017. By the first five months of 2018, the turnover hit US$ 329.86 million, reaching 58.3 percent compared to last year.
