Before, the jury council's members from the Labor union, Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper and the Commission for Mass Mobilization of the city Party Committee selected ten outstanding persons from 31 entries for the award.
Winners of the award are good engineers and workers who have had achievements in labor and made initiatives in improving the operation of devices and machines to better working condition, save production costs, increasing working productivity and product quality, benefiting enterprises and raising laborers’ income for their company or trained young colleagues.
Winners include Nguyen Hong Thao from Ben Nghe Port; Nguyen Van Hoa from Power Company No.4; Hoang Thi Kim Dung from An Phu Textile Company, a branch of Sai Gon Textile and Garment Corporation; Nguyen Vu Dat from Thong Nhat Rubber Company; Nguyen The Nghiep from Hung Vuong Cement Company in the southern province of Binh Phuoc; Nguyen Van Tron from Binh Phuc Power Company; Nguyen Thanh Long from packaging company Liksin; Nguyen Thanh Hien from Cau Tre food processors; Tran Hanh Phuc from Bach Tuyet cotton wool; and Phan Anh Hay from Unilever Company Vietnam.
The award-giving ceremony will be held on August 20 to mark late President Ton Duc Thang’s 129 birthday anniversary.
