Students discuss education in HCMC

Playing the role of National Assembly members, one hundred twenty students from Ho Chi Minh City universities and senior high schools met on March 28 to discuss education issues at the first session of the Young National Assembly.

The meeting was held by the Central Committee of the HCMC Communist Youth Union and the Southern Youth Center with participation of Chairwoman of the city People’s Council Pham Phuong Thao.

Delegates discussed issues related to education such as training programs, lecture formats, and exam organization.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairwoman Thao listened to students’ opinions and suggestions to improve higher education in the country.

She also said that through the meeting, she hoped students would stay up to date on information related to the National Assembly and encourage other young people to learn about National Assembly activities.

On the same day, Nguyen Van Dua, deputy secretary of the HCMC Party Committee, attended the HCMC Youth on Environment Protection festival.

After the opening ceremony of the event, around 1,000 members of the city Youth Union planted trees and cleaned main streets in the city.
