According to the document, the SBV proposed banks, branches of foreign banks, intermediate-payment-service providers to focus on researching and continuously applying advanced technological solutions. That aims to diversify products and provide high quality e-payment services for customers to pay various types of fees, electricity and water bills, tutiion fee and hospital expenses in a faster, safer and more convenient way.
The SBV also asked those parties to coordinate closely with the relevant ministries and agencies to investigate, apply preferential policies and suitable solutions encouraging customers to change from conventional payment methods to e-payment.
Moreover, the SBV directed their branches and subordinate units to check technical infrastructures’ conditions, softwares regularly and ensure implementing customers' payment orders accurately, promptly, smoothly and safely according to legal regulations.
