The Six Senses Hideaway resort on Con Dao Island in Vietnam is on the list of 50 best hotels in the world by Travel & Leisure magazine based in New York City.
The resort is spread over 13 hectares of land and has 50 wooden villas spread along the beach for about one kilometer.
The resort was listed on the 19th position on the list of world’s best hotels. It also received a Property Award for the “Best Hotel Construction and Design for Small Hotels" in the Asian Pacific Region in 2010.
The travel magazine’s list contains mostly independent hotels, but it is sprinkled with a few recognizable names such as Starwood (4 hotels), Ritz-Carlton (2), Waldorf Astoria (1) Four Seasons (1) and Marriott (1).
