The Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP) carrying 329 delegates from 10 ASEAN countries and Japan arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on November 14.

Delegates will spend three-days in the City and join activities such as a meeting with municipal leaders, cultural exchanges with local youth, visits to museums, taking part in exhibition on the ship’s voyages and experience home-stays.
About 160 families will join the home-stay program in which each family will receive two SSEAYP delegates.
The ship is scheduled to sail through Southeast Asian nations, including Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines and Japan from November 28 to December 17.
Started in 1974, the Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program is a joint cooperation between 10 ASEAN countries and Japan. The program aims to strengthen friendship and diplomatic relations among countries, and create mutual understanding, cultural and historical knowledge of each country.
