Gas businesses in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday afternoon announced that retail prices would increase by VND10,000 a 12 kilogram cylinder from October 1.
A 12 kilogram cylinder now costs VND275,000, including value added tax.
Explaining the increase, they said that the world gas contract price has hiked US$32.5 a ton over the previous month to hit US$362.5.
