The remaining amount of money of the petrol price subsidization fund totaled VND3,970 (US$178 million) as of December 31, 2015, reported the Ministry of Finance yesterday.
In a public announcement on the use of the fund last year, the ministry said businesses contributed VND1,206 billion (US$54.12 million) to the fund in the fourth quarter. Of these, zero dong has been used.
Interest from the remaining amount of the fund is VND5 billion (US$224,336).
