He made the proposal at a meeting between the party committees of the city and district 12 about implementation of the party’s resolution in the tenure 2015-2020 lately.
He stressed local authorities should enhance implementation of social and rental housing projects. These districts having few empty land for building condominium should expand housing near the available residential quarters and commercial service.
Additionally, local administrations should build more schools, medical institutions, parks and amusement areas so that immigrants can enjoy facilities to feel connected with the new land and devote more to the city’s growth.
District 12 Party Chief Tran Huu Tri said more additional 22,000 immigrants from all corners of the country moved to live in the district annually.
On one hand, population increase is driving force for economy growth but on the other hand, it has also exerted pressure on local administrations in dealing with social issues comprising of houses, schools, social security and security order.
At a meeting with Go Vap party committee, Chairman of People’s Committee Le Hoang Ha reported that the district population has had additional nearly 280,000 residents. Most of immigrants in Go Vap have been working in small-scale commercial services. Economy, society and residence management bumped into difficulties.
Mr. Ha fretted that no empty land will be for building houses and business a few next years.
Party Chief Nhan said that each district has been facing same difficulties as districts 12 and Go Vap especially houses for immigrants. He asked local administrations to focus on handling social security, housing, schools and transportation so that every people can enjoy same benefit.
