Because the edges of low- pressure trough in combination with expansion of a hot low pressure zone from the westward and the southwestern wind causes an effectiveness of dry and down-slope wind, the localities are predicted to experience peak heat of 39-40 degrees Celsius on April 11.
However, the mountainous areas of the Northern region are forecast to suffer changeable weather of thunderstorm and rain this evening due to an influence of low pressure trough being compressed by a continental high pressure.
In the next couple of days, the same weather condition will expand to the Northern and North- Central regions.
A rainny spell along with thunderstorm, cyclone, lightning, hail and gusty wind is expected to appear after the long- lasting heat wave.
As this reason, weather agencies asked local people to be watchful over and cope with the complicated weather condition.
Whereas, uninterrupted hot weather is expected to last till the end of April in the Southern and Central Highlands regions; and the rainy season will start in May.
