Visitors and buyers have been fetching flower pots in some wholesale fresh flower locations including street Thanh Thai in district 10, parks Le Thi Rieng in district 10, Gia Dinh in district Go Vap and Le Van Tam in district 1 where different kinds of flowers are on sale.
Presently, daisy is priced at VND500,000- VND750,000 a pot while a Taiwanese-original (Chinese ) pot fetch at VND1 million -VND1.5 million.
Ornamental mandarin orange tree is sold at VND3 million two pots and peach in Hanoi fluctuate from VND800,000 - VND2 million a tree depending on the number of flower.
Ornamental watermelon is retailed at VND1.2 million for a pair while prices of ornamental grapefruit range from some million to tens of million.
Tet flower traders said this year, weather in the North is nice; therefore, peach trees have been transporting to HCMC more than last year. However, the price is higher because of a rise in transportation fee.
Additionally, this year, people in HCMC enjoy the US-made ornamental apricot trees costing at VND300,000 for a 60cm –high branch and VND480,000 for 150cm-high branch.
