Vietnamese badminton champion Nguyen Tien Minh defeated Japanese rival Takuma Ueda to win the men’s singles final at the Vietnam Open 2012.

Tien Minh beat Takuma Ueda with scores 21-14 and 12-19 in two rounds. The championship title awarded him a cash prize of US$3,750.
In 2011, Tien Minh also won the Vietnam Open.
He is now scheduled to attend the Japan Super Series at the beginning of next month.
