Mr. Tran Chi Trung, Director of the center said the new terminal covers an area of 5,600 sq meter having 33 bus routes. It has total investment capital of up to VND 8.5billion.

Deputy director of HCMC Transport Department Tran Quang Lam said this terminal aims to replace Ben Thanh bus terminal, which was effected by the construction of Metro No.1 Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien.
The new Ben Thanh modern bus terminal meets people traveling’s demand. It is expected to attract more people in using public transport, reducing traffic congestion and traffic accident in HCMC.
